Television Series Looking for Families of Professional Long Haul Drivers

This photo is of the Glen Page Family featured in May June 2009 Issue of Image Driven Magazine!

Emmy Award winning television producer casting new television series about the families of professional drivers. The series will focus primarily on home life, but life on the road will also be featured. We are looking for families dealing with the real life issues unique to the truck driver lifestyle including long periods of separation when one (or both) spouses/significant others spends so much time on the road. We are also looking for stories about women truckers whose husbands are either also on the road or who may be back home working. Families of all types and structures of interest. All family members must be willing to participate.

If you are in a family that fits this description, please send a brief email to Image Driven Magazine.

Image Driven Magazine www.imagedrivenmagazine.com should be arriving in your mail box this week. Read about the Glen Page Family from Michigan. What a wonderful family. They work and play together as a timber and logging family. We interviewed each member of the family and it revealed some very interesting family values. Please take a look and read for yourself.

Where's The Birdie? Sent In by Chantelle Petrone

Have you seen our white-feathered friend?
We went to an empty cage this mornin
To feed our dear friend, but he was not there.
My oldest daughter said to her siblings, “It’s okay, do not despair.”
We looked and we looked but the picture was grim.
Apparently, he ran away, I mean we could not find him.
Alas, I decided to move on with the day.
I needed to haul Emersyne’s yucky diaper away.
As I approached her, my heart skipped a beat.
I think Emersyne got hungry and needed something to eat.
Unfortunately, for Tweetie he became her early snack.
And if the feather tells of his demise, he won’t be coming back.

Porcha
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is “Porcha”. I live on Nana and Papa’s Porch on Emerald Lake. Papa (aka) "Teach", can tell you the story behind the names that he gives to things; even if they are not what others call them. My previous owners called me something else; but, I must have done something wrong to my previous owner; because they abandoned me this last winter in Wisconsin. I wish I knew what I did wrong so I could meow, “I’m Sorry”. Nana and Papa are sure nice though. I hope to one day show them how much I love them and I hope I never do anything wrong to cause them to abandon me. I will stay on their porch if they let me and I will try to not do anything that would hurt them. I really love Nana; because she will warm my milk and bring it to me. She doesn’t care how cold it is outside, she always takes care that I have food and drink. She is always bossing Papa around. Like, several times I have heard her tell him he needs to move the cat house to my side of the porch. Papa was gonna move it, but he probably hasn't had the time, yet. I wonder if Nana took care of her own children the same way she takes care of me. I’ll bet she has a litter or two of grandchildren. Women like that usually do. And they protect them with all their might. She probably bosses them around like she does Papa. She told Papa the other night that when the two prince cats, who sleep on the king size bed are gone; there will be no others. I wonder where that leaves me.

Now, that Papa is a whole different story. He acts like he is tough and rough; but, we have a secret that I promised not to tell. He is such a story teller. I’ll bet his children and grandchildren sit around listening to his stories all the time. I know the inside cats lay around and listen to his stories. I know one thing for sure. He gets a little nervous when his grandchildren or anything else gets near his Koi Pond. Imagine that, Fancy Feast! Enough chat for this porch cat!

I have heard that humans say a picture is worth a thousand words. So, here you go. You make up the words.

Wintery Path Down To The Lake

I took this photo yesterday! April 5, 2009

We just sent our May /June Image Driven Magazine to the Printer; it was full of wonderfully warm stories like the one about the "Cool!" logging / trucking family; "The Purpose Driven Page Family" from Camden, MI.

And, it was full of neat stuff ordinary people do, including our cover describing the joys of the warm sun and fun when school is out for one more year. Whoa, where does this guy live? Welcome to the wonderful winter land of Wisconsin.

I also spent a good hour yesterday watching the banjo minnow infomercial on TV. I sure could use a little fishing on the lake. My boat is still in storage. It's not an ice breaker, you know.

Oh! By the way, the lake is still not completely unfrozen. But, the Bald Eagles are back and they seem to be catching some of those walleyed beauties. The snow and canada geese are traveling though. Haven't seen any loons yet; except the neighbors who live on the lake with me. I am included in that fraternity!

Please tell me how warm it is in your neck of the woods. So, I can feel your warmth and imagine what it would be like to live somewhere warm. Or, maybe you want to do one better than this and tell me how cold it is where you live. Any of my Inuits friends reading this?

The New Mar Apr issue was mailed out Yesterday to Subscribers across US and Canada

Our Front Cover Photo was taken by Ronnie Dunlap from Texas. This photo of the lizard was taken at the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens. We thought that few magazine covers have ever captured spring time quite like this. This may be a once in a lifetime shot and Ronnie feels lucky to have captured this lizard peeking its head out from the hydrangeas. If you have photos that you would like us to consider for our magazine please submit to us at www.imagedrivenmagazine.com

"Little Girl Turned into a Frog"

"Little Girl Turned Into A Frog"
by Chantelle Auree-Petrone

Once I was small and a little child
Played outside when it was mild.
Even played outside in the sun shine
And I was happy most of the time

But when the sky turned grey and cloudy
I felt the urge and need to be rowdy
Had to stay inside my mom would say
For it’s really blustery outside today

The clouds would swell and fill with rain
And me staying inside seemed insane
Stuck my nose up to the window pane
Watched the frogs hopping on the lane

Then the thunder would boom
The lightning would zoom
The cloud faces would make a frown
The rain would come pouring down

As tears would flow from my eyes
I could hear mom’s breath of heavy sighs
Mom would say, well I suppose
Quick as a wink I ‘d grab my clothes

I would put on my coat and green booties
Shake off all those indoor cooties
Grab my favorite umbrella from the rack
Kiss my mother goodbye with a smack

Ran outside under the rainy shower
God had sent from his heavenly tower
Skipped and splashed in water puddles
Surrounded by lots of rainbow cuddles

I started out as a child in the fog
Magical rain turned me into a frog
From a child to a frog as the lightning flashed
Mom caught it on film just as I splashed

Now there is proof that it happened to me
The day I played in rain and you can see
Once I was a child now turned into a frog
